Gathered Perspectives: A Personal Archive of Rural Queensland and Family
A collection of works from emerging artist Kalinda Martino.
This exhibition explores family, disability and everyday life within rural Queensland. Drawing from my personal experiences of living on a remote property, the works consider the relationship between people and place. My paintings focus on my family and our surroundings, presenting disability as part of our lives rather than the focus. Alongside painting and drawing, the exhibition includes documentary, film and creative writing, allowing different forms of storytelling to contribute to a broader understanding of my practice. Together, these works reflect my very personal way of life.
